Ginger - you could say she was the Spice Girls leader along with Mel B. She was spunky, wild, crazy and full of energy. After her departure from the girls, she matured at a very high level. She hung up her outrageous wardrobe and high tops for good. She has had a very successful career so far, racking up a series number of #1 hits. She has released two solo albums; "Schizophonic" in 1999, and "Scream if You Wanna Go Faster" in 2001. Geri grew up in a middle class household along with her other siblings, mother and father. When she wanted something, she demanded it, and was usually successful. Geri is very outspoken, and always says what's on her mind. She says she would've loved to have been a doctor, but her walk of life held better things, a role of one-fifth of the most successful group of all time. She says, "it's so important for kids today to stop and think, "wait a minute, I could be a rocket scientist if I wanted to." Her message was loud and clear, and became the Spice Girls' catch phrase "Girl Power!" It was a cry for equality among the sexes around the world. She left us all with food for thought: girl power.
